A Book!
This book is not something I ever thought I would have as part of my portfolio of work. It was a real privilege to write, research and coproduce with my key contributors Harriet Richardson, Fatimah Bint-Hanif and Kate Boot.
I wanted to hold space and notice how affirming practice is messy, wonderful and worthwhile. It shows up feelings and questions, can feel uncomfortable and difficult, but to me, seems to be the only way we can truly move to support better well-being and quality of life outcomes.
Communication is identity and historical therapy approaches have sought to minimise identity, create expectations over the 'best' and 'right' way to be. This book hopefully offers space for reflection, challenge and conversations.
Probably a great book club read for a bunch of purposeful and progressive practitioners!
It is available from plenty of book retailers, but I would recommend using Hive, you can top up your local bookstore after you purchase which supports our local book retailers.
